Your Soul's Roar

6 July - 10 August 2026

A 6 week meditation journey for embodied purpose

“What will you do with your one wild and precious life?” Mary Oliver

Many of us have so much material abundance. Yet, our lives are filled with stress and suffering.

Our days may be full, but we're not fully alive. We're overstimulated and dysregulated -- surviving, yes, but not really thriving.

An embodied approach to meditation can help.

Who is this course for?

“What one can be, one must be.” Abraham Maslow

Your Soul's Roar is a meditation course for embodied purpose. By "soul" we aren't referring to anything metaphysical - just your own authentic self. When we live with embodied purpose, we are in tune with ourselves on many levels.

This course aspires to provide an inspiring and complete introduction to meditation for beginners. It seeks to provide depth as well as a comprehensive map for continuing evolution for more advanced meditators. It is unique in its emphasis on both embodiment and purpose.

This course is for people who want to:

✓ go from feeling like they should meditate, to having a genuine hunger for meditation
✓ establish a meditation practice they love and can take with them for the rest of their lives

✓ use meditation to overcome inner obstacles and achieve their goals
✓ use meditation to explore themselves and their minds
✓ wake up in the morning with zest and excitement for life
✓ feel a healthy, grounded and authentic sense of drive and purpose
✓ slow down inwardly while still remaining fully engaged with everyday life
✓ feel more alive and resilient and less numb and distracted
✓ follow inspiration not just obligation
✓ reconnect to their body and learn to harness intuition
✓ meet community and have deeper conversations
✓ learn an approach that integrates cutting edge science with ancient wisdom

Our six week course

“Your vision will become clear only when you look into your own heart.” Carl Jung

You will learn a variety of meditation techniques – from mantra, to visualisations, to self-inquiry – to help you deepen in your embodiment and stoke your sense of purpose. Sessions will involve live music, talks on the ideas and practices, guided meditations, small groups discussions, and whole group question and answer.

Week 1 — How do I prepare my mind for meditation?

We open the space, meet each other, and set intentions before learning how to settle the mind and body for meditation

Week 2 — How can I explore consciousness?
How can I follow upliftment?

We learn to apply aspects of the scientific method to our own inner life, by experimenting with attention, inquiry and different layers of mind. Participants learn to recognise and follow expansive shifts in consciousness.

Week 3 — What inspires me?
What really matters to me?

We map what truly inspires us — past, present, and imagined — and translate those sparks into insights and mantra. We contemplate mortality and preciousness to clarify what genuinely matters in our finite human lives.

Week 4 — What really matters to all of us?
How can I clarify my visions?

We zoom out and reflect upon our 14-billion-year evolutionary story as well as the challenges of our global moment. We explore where our personal passion meets the world's need. We clarify specific best-case scenario visions for each area of life – health; relationships; work; play; and spirituality.

Week 5 — How can I identify and address inner obstacles?

We identify inner obstacles that may obstruct our visions. We use a comprehensive map of human development to precisely understand specific inner blocks and identify the most appropriate remedies.

Week 6 — What is the highest purpose of meditation?

We explore the meditative state of nonduality. Our final ceremony provides each participant with the opportunity to share the specifics of their life vision with a group. We close the course in celebration and community.

Jordan is a man who truly walks the walk. His love for this world and the goodness within it is both inspirational and infectious. Through his wholehearted way of being, he has a remarkable ability to bring out the best in the lives of those he encounters. The quality of his presence widens the room for everyone in it. If you are yearning for a true leader grounded in integrity, wisdom, and love, then look no further.

Nathan Wainwright, Ecologist and co-founder of Regenerating Farms

I have had the good fortune of attending one of Jordan’s courses on sacred activism as both a guest speaker and participant. I have also co-developed a course with Jordan called Democracy Mind on the integration of psychology and politics. Everything about Jordan is genuine—his intellect, his curiosity, his compassion, his love for humanity, and the easy warmth of his smile, his laugh, and his caring shoulder to cry on. Jordan Bakker is the real deal and just keeps going from strength to strength. He is human evolution in motion—palpable to see and an honour to witness. Our troubled world of division needs a lot more Jordans to help bring about the unity we need to carry on.

Scott Leckie, Founder of Displacement Solutions & Oneness World Foundation, International human rights lawyer, and author of 26 books.

Jordan is an incredible heart-led leader and an attuned facilitator of deeply safe, sensitive, inclusive, ethical, and potent spaces. He draws upon 15 years of deep meditation and self-development experience, and with a true heart of service, pours into those around him. His genius and love for people are moving, and he integrates a panoramic suite of modalities to serve those he facilitates. He’s an incredible collaborator, friend, and leader in the space, and I highly recommend anyone looking for a safe space to unfold into their becoming connect with Jordan.

Yohan Dante, Founder of Unconditional Self-Therapy

Jordan is a wonderful space holder and space giver. An idealist with a heart of gold, his passion for serving others and the planet comes through in everything he facilitates. Whether guiding me 1-1 or in group settings, he's led transformational moments that have shaped my life, so I wholeheartedly endorse him.

Nic Bloom, Mental Health First Aid Trainer, Keynote Speaker, Leadership & Wellbeing Consultant

It was a pleasure to work with Jordan. He's responsive, conscientious, creative and proactively intelligent. I recommend him highly.

Terry Patten, Spiritual teacher, Integral Philosopher, Author & Founder of a New Republic of the Heart.

Endorsements

I first met Jordan in 2019 as a group facilitator. What stood out immediately was his warmth, sincerity and genuine commitment to helping people become more self-aware and connected. He and I share a passion for well people doing work well and I have sought his counsel on matters ranging from the systemic to the personal. Building and leading teams in law enforcement and sexual abuse prevention, I have found his teachings and wisdom both sustaining and inspiring. Jordan takes the work of personal growth seriously, not as a trend but as a lifelong (and most importantly, enjoyable) practice.

Grace Nugent, Offender Management Lead (Victoria Police)

I attended many of Jordy’s meditation events, which were always facilitated with care, empathy and presence. Jordy is a community connector and always looking to bring people together in spaces that support transformation and personal growth. His practice brings together both Eastern and Western traditions, for a holistic lens.
